Aírton Branco made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when João Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Queimada SC's Aírton Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Marinho in the 22nd minute of play. Duda Andrade's late challenge caught a Queimada SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duda Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. When Sílvio Luís Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmopolis FC's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Cléber Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho de Castro in the 43rd minute of play. Queimada SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when José Carlos Pires scored to the left of an out of position Aírton Branco, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertinho de Castro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho de Castro in the 55th minute of play forced Carmopolis FC's goalkeeper Cléber Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Queimada SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Carmopolis FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
