Annel SC's Pedrinho Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Pires in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute José Carlos Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmopolis FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Décio Medeiros scored to the left of an out of position Cléber Baptista, making the score, 1-0. João Paulo Passos hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carmopolis FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Sebastião Catarinense shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Nestor Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute, Nestor Coelho made a precise shot to the right of Cléber Baptista. Carmopolis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 30 minutes into the game, Ulysses da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmopolis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Annel SC the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Carmopolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Pires in the 35th minute of play. If João Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Décio Medeiros in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Baptista saved Carmopolis FC from getting behind. Annel SC's Pedrinho Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Pires in the 45th minute of play. Anselmo Donato in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cléber Baptista, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Nestor Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Annel SC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Donato. 64 minutes into the match, Annel SC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Marinho. Pedrinho Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Pedrinho Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Annel SC's Pedrinho Chaves got control of the ball when João Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luís Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Luís Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Carmopolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes, Annel SC's Sebastião Catarinense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cléber Baptista came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Annel SC reached it. Thanks to some nice moves João Marinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Pedrinho Chaves however easily saved by the left post. Carmopolis FC's Cléber Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Medeiros in the 88th minute of play. Décio Medeiros scored 3-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cléber Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Marinho got free with Pedrinho Chaves in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carmopolis FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Annel SC.
