Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when José Carlos Pires got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Cupatana SC defense, José Carlos Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovani da Fonseca. The Cupatana SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovani da Fonseca should have stopped the shot. 7 minutes into the game, Carmopolis FC's José Carlos Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovani da Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 11th minute José Carlos Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Costa in the 12th minute of play forced Carmopolis FC's goalkeeper Cléber Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrianinho Castro's late challenge caught a Carmopolis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrianinho Castro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cupatana SC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Adrianinho Castro hit a great ball. João Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Giovani da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Cupatana SC's Cléber Baptista threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Afonsinho Costa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 23 minutes into the match, Afonsinho Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléber Baptista. Carmopolis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonsinho Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Sílvio Luís Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmopolis FC's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Sílvio Luís Magalhães hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Adrianinho Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allan Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cléber Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan Santana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléber Baptista having to make a save. Allan Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, José Carlos Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani da Fonseca. Cupatana SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If José Carlos Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Santana made a kick off. Allan Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Allan Santana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléber Baptista. Carmopolis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Cupatana SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when José Carlos Pires scored to the left of an out of position Giovani da Fonseca, making the score, 2-4. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro Mattos couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, José Carlos Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmopolis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cupatana SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carmopolis FC's José Carlos Pires got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 95th match minute, Cupatana SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Faustino to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cupatana SC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Carmopolis FC to win.
