Orlando Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Mazza having to interfere. Pesqueirinho's Claudinho Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Arruda in the 14th minute of play. Pesqueirinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poaca the free kick. With 45 minutes on the clock, Adrianinho Gonçalves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Pesqueirinho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Poaca:s goal.

The referee showed Alan Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Poaca booed when Pesqueirinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
