Felippe Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4th minute, Wanderson Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Zonta lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Poaca:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lavoura AD:s goal. The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 8th minute, where Lavoura AD:s Wiliam Branco tricked Poaca:s Sebastião Andrade with a difficult ball by the left post. 11 minutes into the match, Poaca's Orlando Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Carioca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliézer Senna during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 minutes, Orlando Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poaca and the Lavoura AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Poaca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Paulo Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lavoura AD's Eliézer Senna got a free kick in the 19th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lavoura AD's Gino de Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastião Andrade. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. If Breno Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Poaca's Sebastião Andrade got control of the ball when Gino de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Carioca having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Michel Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Paulo Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 45th minute, Eliézer Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Orlando Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Paulo Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Poaca getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Michel Pombal hit a great ball. With his leg Sebastião Andrade managed to avoid a goal in the 50thth minute, when Lavoura AD's Gino de Toledo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Medeiros made a kick off. In the 58th minute Gino de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fernandinho Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Poaca's goal looked a bit too open when Gino de Toledo came free, but Sebastião Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastião Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Silva in the 77th minute of play. Marcelinho Barreto's late challenge caught a Lavoura AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelinho Barreto helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Poaca got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Barreto. Marcelinho Barreto hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes Lavoura AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilson Marques who took care of the corner kick. Gino de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Lavoura AD's Pedro Paulo Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Marques in the 89th minute of play. André Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Poaca's zone, Gino de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Andrade came out of the goal and Gino de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Lavoura AD booed when Poaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
