Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Serginho Arósio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Durval Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Meirelles in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Panaripe booed when Gonzaga AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serginho Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Juvenal Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Velasco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serginho Arósio's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Panaripe's Ediberto Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durval Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Hermínio Meirelles took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Barral. Durval Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Manfredo de Amorim, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Durval Barral was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Manfredo de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes of play, Gonzaga AD's Hermínio Meirelles made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Panaripe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gonzaga AD were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfredo de Amorim to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Panaripe's zone, Manfredo de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Barral came out of the goal and Manfredo de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediberto Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juvenal Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Durval Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonzaga AD. Nilton Soares's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Durval Barral firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Ediberto Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Ediberto Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ediberto Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panaripe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ediberto Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anísio Maciel during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anísio Maciel hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Ediberto Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Velasco having to interfere. A collision led to Gonzaga AD getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nilton Soares hit a great ball. Panaripe's Durval Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo de Amorim in the 83rd minute of play. If Hermínio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo de Amorim in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Barral saved Panaripe from getting behind. After having played for 92 minutes, Manfredo de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gonzaga AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durval Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Meirelles in the 93rd minute. The Panaripe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gonzaga AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Gonzaga AD.
