With a left leg Durval Barral saved Panaripe from getting behind. Narciso Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Arantes in the 16th minute of the match. Samuca de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Serginho Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Samuca de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama FC's protests and gave Samuca de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Panama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes, Panaripe's Cléber Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narciso Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panaripe reached it. Narciso Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Narciso Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Ediberto Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Ediberto Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panaripe's Serginho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute Samuca de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
