After a defensive mix-up in Panama FC's zone, Hermínio Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Mota came out of the goal and Hermínio Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manfredo de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Narciso Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuca de Amaral made a kick off. Emanuel Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Narciso Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonzaga AD. Manfredo de Amorim scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Narciso Mota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonzaga AD's Hermínio Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Panama FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Souza. In the 80th minute, Emanuel Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Panama FC's Narciso Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo de Amorim in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Gonzaga AD's goalkeeper Juvenal Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Magalhães. In the 85th minute, Arí Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Gonzaga AD's Nilton Soares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narciso Mota came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gonzaga AD reached it. Juvenal Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Mota having to interfere. Gonzaga AD were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panama FC for a fine match.
