Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edson de Azevedo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Anderson Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaza and the Rinopolis AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Anderson Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Pedro Luís Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Félix went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Gaza's zone, César Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Ceresso came out of the goal and César Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Edson de Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arí Soares was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Gaza's Pedro Luís Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Simão in the 21st minute of play. Gaza's Edson de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alfredinho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arí Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Edson de Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rinopolis AD's Arí Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Narciso Penha hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, César Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinopolis AD's supporters rose to their feet, but César Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. César Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfredinho Alves came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arí Soares could save by the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anísio Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Gaza got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Barbosa. 54 minutes into the match, Gaza's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Simão came free, but Pedro Luís Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gaza's zone, César Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Ceresso came out of the goal and César Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Gaza's Alfredinho Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arí Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Gaza booed when Rinopolis AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Gaza got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Bertassi. During the 72nd minute of the match Anderson Bertassi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anderson Bertassi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 72nd match minute, Gaza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anísio Simão in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Ceresso saved Gaza from getting behind. César Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfredinho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Alfredinho Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rinopolis AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
