The audience was convinced that José Vítor Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Vander was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Carlinhos Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute Carlinhos Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauan Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cauan Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Uberaba SS's Cauan Perez got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Umberto Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Macuari SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Pinho couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Frederico Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Lúcio Luz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Macuari SC's Claudinho Chaves. Claudinho Chaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Vítor Baptista hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If José Vítor Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Umberto Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Armando Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lúcio Luz was the one to do the kick off. If Carlinhos Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Macuari SC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Luz came free, but Claudinho Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Macuari SC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Arce. The long shot by Afonso Martins in the 67th minute really tested Claudinho Chaves's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Claudinho Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Luz in the 68th minute of play. Umberto Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Umberto Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. José Vítor Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Umberto Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Vander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uberaba SS's goalkeeper Armando Vander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Macuari SC's Claudinho Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Luz in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Umberto Pinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uberaba SS's Armando Vander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Macuari SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uberaba SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Uberaba SS.
