An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Luz in the 12th minute of play forced Cristalina's goalkeeper Matías Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Sydney Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristalina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uberaba SS the free kick. Percival Rezende took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armando Vander. Armando Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Glauco Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Percival Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Carlinhos Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uberaba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Lúcio Luz made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Percival Rezende dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armando Vander, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Luz in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matías Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Rezende in the 61st minute of play forced Uberaba SS's goalkeeper Armando Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Uberaba SS fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Uberaba SS's Lúcio Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Mello during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Armando Vander came out of the goal and Glauco Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Neto got free with Armando Vander in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Cristalina getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Kauan Neto hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Uberaba SS's goalkeeper Armando Vander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Glauco Fonseca. After having played for 96 minutes, Marcos Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cristalina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
