Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pirpirituba's Aluísio Ferraz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Herveiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Amadeu Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aluísio Ferraz in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Herveiras got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Paiva. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aluísio Ferraz in the 13th minute of play forced Herveiras's goalkeeper Amadeu Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Chiquinho Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herveiras's Aírton Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Chiquinho Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirpirituba's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Aírton Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herveiras's protests and gave Aírton Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Herveiras getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aírton Vieira hit a great ball. Rony Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aluísio Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Negri was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pirpirituba's Jaime Cosme got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the Herveiras defense, Aluísio Ferraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Negri. The Herveiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Negri should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Alagoano made a kick off. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Herveiras. Francisco da Costa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dida Berger. 1-2. 60 minutes into the match, Herveiras's goalkeeper Amadeu Negri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquinho Britto. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Chiquinho Britto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Pinho in the 65th minute of play forced Pirpirituba's goalkeeper Dida Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aluísio Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Amadeu Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Aluísio Ferraz rounded Herveiras's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. After 79 minutes of play Pirpirituba's Jaime Cosme was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Pinho in the 82nd minute of play forced Pirpirituba's goalkeeper Dida Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Herveiras getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Luís Fernando Vasconcelos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Herveiras's zone, Aluísio Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Negri came out of the goal and Aluísio Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Chiquinho Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Tostão Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herveiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tostão Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Berger having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Alagoano in the 99th minute of play forced Pirpirituba's goalkeeper Dida Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pirpirituba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
