Alfredo Araújo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Armindo Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linda. A collision led to Linda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Glauco Travassos hit a great ball. The supporters of Iviti booed when Linda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raimundo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Linda getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Delfim Chaves hit a great ball. Renan das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Renan das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Linda booed when Iviti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Alfredo Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Linda got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Chaves. 45 minutes into the match, Iviti's Dorival Paraibano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Pitta got free with Francisco Tande in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Alfredo Araújo made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Armindo Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Armindo Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iviti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linda the free kick. After a rather tough play, Iviti's Armindo Mineiro got a free kick in the 57th minute. Iviti's Raimundo Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Travassos in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Iviti booed when Linda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Pitta in the 75th minute of the match. When Reinaldo Neves fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linda's protests and gave Reinaldo Neves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, Linda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Delfim Chaves fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linda's protests and gave Delfim Chaves a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Iviti's Dorival Paraibano tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Linda's Delfim Chaves got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Delfim Chaves off the ground. After a rather tough play, Linda's Delfim Chaves got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Ernesto Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Ernesto Travassos made a precise shot to the right of Francisco Tande. Linda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 92 minutes of play Linda's Reinaldo Neves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 93rd minute, Reinaldo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 99 minutes into the game, Raimundo Pitta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Francisco Tande was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iviti's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
