Enio Barros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronaldo Porto. Enio Barros stood somewhat misplaced when Lino Vale came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 47 minute.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa Lopez during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Varnhagen AD getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rafa Lopez hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Oséias Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Barros having to interfere. Enio Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Varnhagen AD's Norberto Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Prado in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Vale in the 84th minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Enio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Vinícius Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varnhagen AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roceira SC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Norberto Braga, was totally fooled by Roceira SC's Juvenal Hermes, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Lino Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Enio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
