In the 15th minute, Diamantino Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 19 in the game by Gualter Secco from a close distance when the talented Zézinho Cavalcante managed to make a qualified save. Cayua FC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Catingal's Osmar Coelho got a free kick in the 21st minute. Zézinho Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Secco in the 73rd minute of play. Gualter Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zézinho Cavalcante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gualter Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. Zézinho Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Ian Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catingal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Adelino Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayua FC's protests and gave Adelino Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. Ian Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aílton Baiano fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
