Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gernando Meira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Breno Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rubinho Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Maruahy's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Maranhense came free, but Zé Pedro Hames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match, Rubinho Maranhense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Pedro Hames saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Breno Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilian Trigo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 33 minutes into the match, Guataquara's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Meira came free, but Breno Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Maranhense in the 34th minute of play forced Maruahy's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Hames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Maruahy's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Hames had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Maia. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubinho Maranhense to strike the kick off in the second half. Rubinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Hames having to interfere. Zé Pedro Hames didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guataquara. In the 73rd minute, Dedê de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Breno Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the Maruahy defense, Rubinho Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Hames. The Maruahy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Hames should have stopped the shot. When Eduardo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Guataquara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Maia couldn't finish the play.
