Eugênio Barreto came out of the goal and Mazinho Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Anísio de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juissara EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anísio de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorival Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brocato's Dorival Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Brocato from getting a goal against them. Armindo Araújo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Samuca Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Rômulo Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dorival Vale made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Brocato's zone, Anísio de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Vale came out of the goal and Anísio de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Nunes scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugênio Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugênio Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Lira in the 45th minute of play forced Juissara EC's goalkeeper Eugênio Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Nunes struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Eugênio Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brocato. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mazinho Lira made a kick off. Victor Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugênio Barreto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Mazinho Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dorival Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mazinho Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brocato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brocato's Mazinho Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Brocato could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Juissara EC throughout the match.
