Oiticeiro's Juvenal de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Meira in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Quixeramobim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Seco to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes of play, Oiticeiro's Sandrinho França made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oiticeiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Jaime Meira scored to the left of an out of position Juvenal de Barros, making the score, 1-1. After 24 played minutes Quixeramobim FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Guerra. In the 25th minute, Hermínio Abraão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quixeramobim FC's Hamílton Luz didn't even have to move. After 28th play minutes Jaime Meira shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Juvenal de Barros and just under the crossbar into goal. During the 30th minute of the match Frank Seco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Frank Seco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Oiticeiro booed when Quixeramobim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quixeramobim FC's Armandinho Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Oiticeiro. Hermínio Abraão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hamílton Luz. 2-2. After having played for 46 minutes, Carlos Fernando Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quixeramobim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Fernando Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandrinho França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilmar Medeiros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Hamílton Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Juvenal de Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Oiticeiro's zone, Armandinho Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal de Barros came out of the goal and Armandinho Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hílton Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. If Armandinho Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute.
