A collision led to Guedeslandia FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Américo Faustino hit a great ball. Cauã Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Campidelis in the 10th minute of play. Elder Nunes took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cauã Souza. Cauã Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nicolas Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Maia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Guedeslandia FC's zone, Nicolas Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Maia came out of the goal and Nicolas Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Currais FC's Nicolas Bittencourt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermínio Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raimundo Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo Pombal was the one to do the kick off. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Guedeslandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Bittencourt came free, but Hermínio Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Currais FC fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Currais FC's Raimundo Pombal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 62nd minute, Elder Nunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guedeslandia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 67 played minutes Currais FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Azevedo. Zé Roberto Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Roberto Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guedeslandia FC booed when Currais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Roberto Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chiquinho Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elder Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Souza having to interfere. Chiquinho Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Currais FC's goalkeeper Cauã Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Nunes. Chiquinho Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquinho Campidelis in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauã Souza saved Currais FC from getting behind. Nicolas Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Hermínio Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Currais FC. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
