Fausto Souto started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Pombal in the 3rd minute of play forced Tabuleiro's goalkeeper Tony Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Imbauzinho's Willian Pombal. But to his dismay, Willian Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tony Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Tabuleiro booed when Imbauzinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fausto Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Paulo Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Imbauzinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after José Paulo Vasconcelos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fausto Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Tiaguinho Pitta made a huge save. 47 minutes in the game, Fausto Souto fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tiaguinho Pitta having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willian Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tabuleiro's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Willian Pombal 54 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. 58 minutes into the match, Tabuleiro's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Pombal came free, but Tony Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes, Toninho Hoffmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabuleiro and the Imbauzinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tabuleiro getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Toninho Hoffmann hit a great ball. Willian Pombal didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-3 via right post in the game's 62nd minute. Imbauzinho's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! With a little luck, Tabuleiro's Tony Cordeiro got control of the ball when Didi Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Vasconcelos in the 74th minute of play forced Imbauzinho's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Didi Abraão notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Tabuleiro's Tony Cordeiro. Tony Cordeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Didi Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Cordeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didi Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. Tabuleiro's Tony Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Tabuleiro from getting a goal against them. After 92 minutes of play, Tabuleiro's Fausto Souto made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiaguinho Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Tabuleiro's Tony Cordeiro got control of the ball when Didi Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Imbauzinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
