Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Augusto Quadros started the match with the kick off. Oséias Leite hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Cangica EC's Geovanni Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto Quadros in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamílton Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Hamílton Netto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Oséias Leite fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gira EC's protests and gave Oséias Leite a yellow card for diving instead. Geovanni Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Netto having to interfere. Gira EC's Hamílton Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto Quadros in the 16th minute of play. Gira EC's Hamílton Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Gira EC from getting a goal against them. Yuri Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Terra in the 28th minute of play. If Pedro Augusto Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geovanni Botelhos short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Hamílton Netto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 41st minute Pedro Augusto Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Geovanni Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Pedro Augusto Quadros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hamílton Netto, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jeremias Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hamílton Netto. Gira EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Augusto Quadros struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hamílton Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangica EC. 61 minutes into the game, Cangica EC's Enéas Mineiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 67th minute, Pedro Augusto Quadros made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Netto. Gira EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Gira EC's Carlos Augusto Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cangica EC! The goalkeeper, Yuri Melo, was totally fooled by Gira EC's Narciso Gaúcho, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto Quadros in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Netto saved Gira EC from getting behind. Naldo Schmidt hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Pedro Augusto Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 90 minutes into the match, Cangica EC's Pedro Augusto Quadros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamílton Netto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Naldo Schmidt hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
