Doriva Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chiquinho Pires to make the kick off. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
