Zé Paulo Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson de Senna having to interfere. Róbson de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Sai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Neto to maneuver through the defense. If Zé Paulo Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paulo Coelho struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Róbson de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ivatuva AD. When Ivatuva AD's Zé Paulo Coelho in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ivatuva AD's Zé Carlos de Souza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sai FC. Tales Soares was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Sai FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tales Soares hit a great ball. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sai FC! An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Toninho Arce got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 47 minutes into the match, Sai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Pinho came free, but Róbson de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Sai FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ivatuva AD were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Toninho Arce made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ivatuva AD's zone, Toninho Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Ramos came out of the goal and Toninho Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivatuva AD's Zé Paulo Coelho got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbson de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Romeu Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Toninho Arce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Ramos was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 89th minute of the match, Zé Paulo Coelho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Róbson de Senna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Pinho in the 91st minute of play forced Sai FC's goalkeeper Róbson de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Ivatuva AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sai FC throughout the match.
