Aírton Pinho scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitinho Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 14thth minute of the game Tião Branco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ivatuva AD's Romeu Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tanabi EC's Vitinho Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Coelho in the 20th minute of play. Vitinho Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Pinho in the 21st minute of the match. Vitinho Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Coelho in the 24th minute of play. Vitinho Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Romeu Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aírton Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vitinho Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fiori Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Romeu Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fiori Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes, Valdo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ivatuva AD and the Tanabi EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ivatuva AD! The referee gave Tanabi EC a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Otávio de Amorim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ivatuva AD's Romeu Ramos. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Branco in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Ramos saved Ivatuva AD from getting behind. Zé Paulo Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Vitinho Araújo made a huge save. With a little luck, Tanabi EC's Vitinho Araújo got control of the ball when Zé Paulo Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aírton Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vitinho Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tanabi EC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Claudinei Linares hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ivatuva AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tanabi EC.
