Hugo Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Renatinho Zilles made a huge save. If Tibúrcio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Messias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Renatinho Zilles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hortêncio Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 24 minutes, Jean Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caraibuna FC and the Cabocio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Jean Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibúrcio Matos in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Prestes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismael Mangueira's late challenge caught a Cabocio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. Ismael Mangueira hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Alfredinho Bittencourt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caraibuna FC's Renatinho Zilles didn't even have to move. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibúrcio Matos made a kick off. Renatinho Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Messias in the 58th minute of play. If Tibúrcio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. In the 88th minute Tibúrcio Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Caraibuna FC's Chico Castro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabocio FC's goalkeeper Tony Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tibúrcio Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Prestes having to interfere.
