Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arthur Pimenta started the match with the kick off. Rodolfo Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Moreira in the 5th minute of play. If Doriva Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Claudinei de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva Moreira in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Claudinei de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Moreno booed when Muiraneu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Tadeu da Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei de Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Moreno's Nuno Rosa in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muiraneu's goalie prevented a goal. 43 minutes into the game, Abelardo Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moreno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muiraneu the free kick. A collision led to Moreno getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Abelardo Almeida hit a great ball. Renato Viana, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doriva Moreira made a kick off. Muiraneu's Serginho Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Doriva Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Muiraneu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva Moreira couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Doriva Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muiraneu's supporters rose to their feet, but Doriva Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Doriva Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Gaúcho was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Serginho Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Serginho Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Muiraneu got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Mineiro. The audience was convinced that Doriva Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Gaúcho was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 77th match minute, Moreno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Zilles to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Doriva Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Couto in the 81st minute of play forced Moreno's goalkeeper Rodolfo Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Gaúcho having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Muiraneu's goalkeeper Claudinei de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Rosa. Nuno Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Claudinei de Almeida made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Muiraneu fans cheered their team off the field, for while Moreno had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
