Moreno's Rodolfo Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Damião in the 18th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Patrick Damião put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rodolfo Gaúcho. 25 minutes into the game, Perrexil SC's Luiz Fernando Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Gaúcho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 29 minutes into the match, Patrick Damião notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Moreno's Rodolfo Gaúcho. Rodolfo Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patrick Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Gaúcho having to interfere. In the 35th minute Patrick Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perrexil SC's José Vítor Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Perrexil SC from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Luiz Fernando Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moreno's Nuno Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Vítor Andrade having to make a save. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Perrexil SC's goalkeeper José Vítor Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fernando Linhares was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Bernardo Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Perrexil SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Luiz Fernando Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Perrexil SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
