Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Dracena started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Travassos in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amauri Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilson Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fontes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Durvalino Dracena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Travassos in the 18th minute of play forced Fontes's goalkeeper Amauri Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Fontes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionísio Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Nilson Gomes in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Goianira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fontes the free kick. After a rather tough play, Goianira's Chicão Moraes got a free kick in the 43rd minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didi Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dionísio Montenegro succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 57th minute, Murillo Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fontes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
