Afonso Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Tande in the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Josué Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Josué Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan Passos. Tanhacu EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josué Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Josué Moura came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Rubim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Moura couldn't finish the play. Afonso Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilmar Mendonça during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 minutes of play, Tanhacu EC's Manfredo Tande made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Sampaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Vito Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tanhacu EC's Renan Passos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Tanhacu EC from getting a goal against them. Aníbal Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Manfredo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tanhacu EC booed when Rubim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vito Motta scored 2-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Renan Passos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Manuel Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Tanhacu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Moura came free, but Renan Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Álvaro Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rubim FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tanhacu EC the free kick. In the 80th minute, Álvaro Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Aníbal Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Rubim FC booed when Tanhacu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josué Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renan Passos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Renan Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
