The tension between the Massambara EC and the Bontim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Massambara EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Moisés Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franklin Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafinha Botelho in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21stth minute of the game Rafinha Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Massambara EC's Franklin Gomes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Bontim SS's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Hoffmann came free, but Tales Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales Coelho came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Massambara EC's Felippe Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Felippe Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Felippe Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Coelho having to interfere. If Wellington Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Franklin Gomes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Faria in the 49th minute of play forced Bontim SS's goalkeeper Tales Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moisés Faria to make the kick off. Franklin Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafinha Botelho in the 59th minute of the match. Moisés Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Tales Coelho made a huge save. Felippe Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Bontim SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felippe Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bontim SS booed when Massambara EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Moisés Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felippe Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tales Coelho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 79 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Massambara EC's Moisés Faria fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Felippe Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tales Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Massambara EC. After 87 played minutes Bontim SS got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Baptista. After some careless play in the Bontim SS defense, Felippe Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tales Coelho. The Bontim SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tales Coelho should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the game, Frank Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bontim SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Massambara EC the free kick. The supporters of Massambara EC booed when Bontim SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Dário Berger sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bontim SS's Tales Coelho didn't even have to move.
