Elder Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Torres in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraqui's zone, Deivid Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Soares came out of the goal and Deivid Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Jaraqui got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Alcântara. Paulo José Quaresma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Elder Soares made a huge save. If Paulo José Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Jaraqui booed when Cambucy SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Gerson Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fiori Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jaraqui's Sílvio Luiz Rosa got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fiori Abreu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Soares saved Jaraqui from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Jaraqui got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Alcântara. In the 65th minute Fiori Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Samuel Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaraqui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cambucy SS's Tarcisio Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Cambucy SS from getting a goal against them. In the last second Tarcisio Alcântara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Samuel Fonseca in the 78thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 80th match minute, Cambucy SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Torres to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Samuel Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Alcântara was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Rubinho Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cambucy SS's Fiori Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cambucy SS's Tarcisio Alcântara got control of the ball when Tostão Meira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cambucy SS's Tarcisio Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Fonseca in the 95th minute of play. Fiori Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elder Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fiori Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
