Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernani Trigo started the match with the kick off. Zé Carlos Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauan Lago in the 16th minute. When Germano Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Corityba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Franklin Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kauan Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Carlos Ferraz made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Kauan Lago sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Kauan Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaques's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Ferraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernani Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Zé Carlos Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Luís Paulo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaques were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Corityba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abelardo Leão took the corner. 46 minutes into the match, Corityba's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Tepedino came free, but Zé Carlos Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Germano Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Trigo in the 51st minute of play forced Corityba's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jaques's zone, Germano Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Paraense came out of the goal and Germano Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Trigo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Carlos Ferraz saved Corityba from getting behind. Jeremias Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Jaques's Franklin Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Azevedo in the 71st minute of play. Luís Paulo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Paraense having to interfere. Germano Azevedo spun around in front of the goal 74 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Jaques's goal. Vito Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaques's Kauan Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernani Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zé Carlos Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Ernani Trigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Carlos Ferraz. Corityba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernani Trigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jaques's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
