Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when César Gerber got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Fábio Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Maravilhas's Marcos Dante got control of the ball when Celsinho Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 9 played minutes Maravilhas got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Cosme. In the 12th minute César Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin da Silveira having to interfere. Marcos Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Saraiva in the 19th minute of the match. Marcos Dante was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Gustavo Saraiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Saraiva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Aloísio Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin da Silveira. Mamanguape's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gustavo Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Dante having to interfere. Ulisses Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Dante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maravilhas's goalkeeper Marcos Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gustavo Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Saraiva to make the kick off. César Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Benjamin da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Ortiz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57thth minute of the game César Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mamanguape's Benjamin da Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamin da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Aloísio Marques sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Dante having to interfere. Maravilhas's Marcos Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Saraiva in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Ferraz in the 72nd minute of play forced Maravilhas's goalkeeper Marcos Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mamanguape's zone, César Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin da Silveira came out of the goal and César Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aloísio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mamanguape getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gilson Ortiz hit a great ball. If Aloísio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aloísio Marques got free with Benjamin da Silveira in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mamanguape's goalkeeper Benjamin da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If César Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Aloísio Marques sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Maravilhas booed when Mamanguape was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
