Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donatello Simões started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Fortinho getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Pedro Augusto Vianna hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Donatello Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zézinho Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Araújo having to make a save. Zézinho Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Araújo having to interfere. Christian Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zézinho Lara's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Zézinho Lara notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fortinho's Christian Araújo. Christian Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute, Donatello Simões made a precise shot to the right of Christian Araújo. Fortinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Nando Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Simões in the 51st minute of the match. Donatello Simões struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Christian Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacare. After 56 minutes of play, Tacare's Zézinho Lara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Donatello Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Zézinho Lara came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Tacare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Donatello Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, one of Fortinho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fortinho. Cléberson Senna shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Reinaldo Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Araújo. Fortinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Tacare's Donatello Simões slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christian Araújo. That made the score 0-4 after 84 minutes of play. Zézinho Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Araújo having to interfere. Tacare's Donatello Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Tacare could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fortinho throughout the match.
