Augusto Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Schmidt in the 4th minute of the match. Careiro EC's Augusto Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Careiro EC from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute, Túlio Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Careiro EC's Augusto Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Schmidt in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Bebedor got a corner. Careiro EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Albertinho Urbano ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 17th minute, Teodoro Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliézer Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bebedor! After 30 played minutes Bebedor got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Moura. A hard shot 38 in the game by Túlio Dias from a close distance when the talented Augusto Neves managed to make a qualified save. Careiro EC's players were relieved. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliézer Schmidt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Túlio Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bebedor's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Augusto Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Schmidt in the 54th minute of play. After some careless play in the Careiro EC defense, Túlio Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Neves. The Careiro EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Neves should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Careiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Dias came free, but Augusto Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Schmidt in the 70th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Bernardinho Souto, was totally fooled by Careiro EC's Belchior Arósio, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 77 minutes into the match, Careiro EC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer Schmidt came free, but Augusto Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Careiro EC's zone, Eliézer Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Neves came out of the goal and Eliézer Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Túlio Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Augusto Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Túlio Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eliézer Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Bebedor failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
