Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. César Corrêa started the match with the kick off. César Corrêa took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dito Couto. Dito Couto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateus Paiva in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Cruz saved Taitinga SC from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Taitinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu de Senna came free, but Leopoldo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that César Corrêa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dito Couto was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The supporters of Taitinga SC booed when Taquarussu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Taquarussu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Taitinga SC:s goal. 23 minutes into the match, Taitinga SC's Dudu Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dito Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. César Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Couto having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Dudu Lara in the 33rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Taquarussu's zone, Dudu Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Couto came out of the goal and Dudu Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Mateus Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Taquarussu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Taitinga SC were winning 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateus Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Dudu Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dito Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taquarussu's Dito Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Corrêa in the 55th minute of play. Leopoldo Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Zonta during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 minutes of play, Taquarussu's Amadeu de Senna made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leopoldo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Paiva in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Taitinga SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
