Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 7th minute Vladimir Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aluísio Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Tinoco in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Mucana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Agostinho Favoretto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Reynaldo Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aluísio Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Reynaldo Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Aluísio Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, Mucana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Tinoco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Aluísio Torres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 39th minute Valdomiro Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilherme Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Vale in the 40th minute of play. If Eriberto Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, Itapinima's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Braga came free, but Guilherme Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 48 in the game by Reynaldo Tinoco from a close distance when the talented Aluísio Torres managed to make a qualified save. Mucana's players were relieved.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Vale to make the kick off. Eriberto Vale was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Mucana's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Mucana booed when Itapinima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Vale hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Agostinho Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aluísio Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agostinho Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agostinho Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Itapinima booed when Mucana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Itapinima's Flavinho de Alcântara got a free kick in the 66th minute. Roberto de Mendonça was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Itapinima's Guilherme Barreto got control of the ball when Vladimir Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Silva hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Aluísio Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Itapinima's zone, Eriberto Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Barreto came out of the goal and Eriberto Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Reynaldo Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Itapinima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Tinoco couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Mattos in the 97th minute of play forced Itapinima's goalkeeper Guilherme Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
