The supporters of Oliveiras booed when Jacirema SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gerson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oliveiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerson Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Silva having to interfere. Claudinei Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Durval Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Matheus Correia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oliveiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacirema SC the free kick. Matheus Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Claudinei Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Durval Silva. Oliveiras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Jacirema SC's zone, Adrianinho Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Diniz came out of the goal and Adrianinho Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Lira in the 33rd minute of play forced Jacirema SC's goalkeeper Wiliam Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Paulo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Silva having to interfere. In the 45th minute Adrianinho Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiliam Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When Mário Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacirema SC's protests and gave Mário Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jacirema SC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mário Vergílio hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrianinho Lira to make the kick off. Wiliam Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerson Guedes in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Jacirema SC booed when Oliveiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Jacirema SC's Aírton Meireles broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Pedro Paulo Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Jacirema SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Paulo Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Durval Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Pedro Paulo Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Gerson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot.
