Tabaqueiro AD's Iuri Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Castro in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Muirapinima's goalkeeper Rui Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aírton Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. Iuri Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Tabaqueiro AD's Ernesto Guedes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Leopoldo Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Iuri Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Rossi succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 30th minute, Frank Rossi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Muirapinima fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 35th minute of the match Conrado Galvão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Moreira skillfully saved the ball. Evandro Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rui Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Aguiar having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Rossi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Rossi in the 52nd minute of play forced Tabaqueiro AD's goalkeeper Iuri Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Maranhense in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Muirapinima's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Maranhense came free, but Rui Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iuri Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Leopoldo Castro sent off a good shot on target. Valdir Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Muirapinima getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Tabaqueiro AD's goalkeeper Iuri Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Castro. 75 minutes into the match, Evandro Pena notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Muirapinima's Rui Moreira. Rui Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iuri Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Rossi in the 80th minute of the match. Muirapinima's André Luiz Guerra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tabaqueiro AD. The Tabaqueiro AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Muirapinima's performance. The match ended with a win for Muirapinima.
