Evandro Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Paulista having to interfere. In the 9th minute Evandro Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duda Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Pena in the 11th minute of play. When Evandro Pena came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tabaqueiro AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Pena couldn't finish the play. Aírton Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Tabaqueiro AD's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Neiva came free, but Iuri Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Evandro Pena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Duda Paulista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Duda Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Pena in the 24th minute of the match. Duda Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Pena in the 28th minute of play. Duda Paulista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aírton Maranhense's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Evandro Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Paulista having to interfere. Picoto SS's Duda Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Maranhense in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Aírton Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabaqueiro AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duda Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Picoto SS's Sílvio Luiz Salgado got a free kick in the 51st minute. Aírton Maranhense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Duda Paulista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tabaqueiro AD's Iuri Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Figueiredo in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Luís Fabiano Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Picoto SS and the Tabaqueiro AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Telmo Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Luís Fabiano Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Picoto SS got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Neiva. Aírton Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duda Paulista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. Iuri Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Figueiredo in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Aírton Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabaqueiro AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duda Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Tabaqueiro AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tabaqueiro AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
