Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Itatiaiussu's Gil Souto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marquinhos da Rocha was a little too slow when Gil Souto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. Marquinhos da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Fartura FC's goalkeeper Marquinhos da Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Guilherme Botelho. If Luiz Guilherme Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fartura FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Chicão Senna hit a great ball. Remo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Ortiz in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Walmyr Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmyr Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Itatiaiussu defense, Léo Mello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo Cruz. The Itatiaiussu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo Cruz should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itatiaiussu's goalkeeper Remo Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Walmyr Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Remo Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th match minute, Itatiaiussu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Fartura FC's Anderson da Fonseca tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Léo Mello was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Itatiaiussu's Gil Souto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marquinhos da Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Léo Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Remo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chicão Senna was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Serginho Rodrigues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marquinhos da Rocha skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Luiz Guilherme Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itatiaiussu's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Guilherme Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Souto in the 84th minute of play forced Fartura FC's goalkeeper Marquinhos da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes Fartura FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Borges. Marquinhos da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Souto in the 87th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos da Rocha having to interfere. Gil Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marquinhos da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
