In the 4th minute, Gil Souto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itatiaiussu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Itatiaiussu booed when Castel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredinho da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Castel FC's Walmyr da Silveira got a free kick in the 12th minute. Caco de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Itatiaiussu getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Caco de Sena hit a great ball. Luiz Guilherme Botelho scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cauan Meirelles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Enio Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st match minute, Castel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Marques to maneuver through the defense. Enio Lucas struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Remo Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castel FC. When Enio Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castel FC's protests and gave Enio Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Enio Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Itatiaiussu's Remo Cruz got control of the ball when Enio Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredinho da Rocha to strike the kick off in the second half. Remo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho da Rocha in the 51st minute of the match. Castel FC's Cauan Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Castel FC from getting a goal against them. Enio Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Remo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remo Cruz was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. When Gil Souto came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Itatiaiussu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Souto couldn't finish the play. After having played for 75 minutes, Alfredinho da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Luiz Guilherme Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauan Meirelles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 80th minute, Luisinho Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes Itatiaiussu got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Penha. After some careless play in the Itatiaiussu defense, Alfredinho da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo Cruz. The Itatiaiussu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo Cruz should have stopped the shot. If Alfredinho da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Itatiaiussu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
