The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Laércio Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê do Vale struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Gustavo Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jucelandia. Gustavo Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê do Vale in the 37th minute of play. Cauã Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmílson Branco having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doni Trancoso to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Jucelandia's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Trancoso came free, but Edmílson Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Trancoso in the 53rd minute of play forced Jucelandia's goalkeeper Edmílson Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Laércio Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Apiahy FC booed when Jucelandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apiahy FC's Gustavo Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Bueno in the 76th minute of play. In the 88th minute Cauã Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jucelandia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
