Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jarbas Tróia started the match with the kick off. Osmar Pires took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denílson Simão. Alvarenga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Kauã Paes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marinheiro's protests and gave Kauã Paes a yellow card for diving instead. Kauã Paes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Machado got free with Adelino Cerezo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvarenga's Denílson Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Tróia in the 20th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Jarbas Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marinheiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarbas Tróia scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Simão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 49 minutes into the match, Marinheiro's Giuseppe Perez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denílson Simão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Augusto Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Kauã Paes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. In the 53rd minute, Kauã Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adelino Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Alvarenga's Denílson Simão got control of the ball when Giuseppe Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Arí Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvarenga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marinheiro the free kick. Arí Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Denílson Simão made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Giuseppe Perez sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Tiago Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Denílson Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marinheiro's Giuseppe Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Humberto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Augusto Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute José Augusto Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
