Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Cordeiro started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Zelia's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Cordeiro came free, but Ronaldinho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th match minute, Maia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Varela to maneuver through the defense. Frank da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr da Rocha having to interfere. Walmyr da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Zelia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nelson de Lara fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Maia AD's Henrique Cordeiro in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zelia's goalie prevented a goal. Edmundo Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Walmyr da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank da Silveira in the 22nd minute of play. Iuri Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Maia AD's Henrique Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldinho Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Henrique Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ronaldinho Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Henrique Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Varela's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ronaldinho Guedes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mathias Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Emílio Furtado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

When Frank da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Zelia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank da Silveira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zelia's Erik Linares got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 65th minute, Nelson de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Frank da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelia's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmyr da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelson de Lara took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Guedes. Ronaldinho Guedes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 74 minutes into the match, Zelia's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Cordeiro came free, but Ronaldinho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maia AD booed when Zelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iuri Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Maia AD's Nelson de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldinho Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walmyr da Rocha was a little too slow when Frank da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-1. Henrique Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Guedes having to interfere. Frank da Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank da Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edmundo Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Walmyr da Rocha made a huge save. Edmundo Barros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Walmyr da Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 100 minutes into the match, Zelia's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson de Lara came free, but Ronaldinho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
