Talarem SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Caiuas SS's Hernani Amorim got control of the ball when Dito Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dito Bezerra came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hernani Amorim could save by the left post. Elias Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Amorim having to interfere. A collision led to Caiuas SS getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vitório Tavares hit a great ball. Dito Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hernani Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Talarem SS's Dito Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernani Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Adelino da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Caiuas SS's goalkeeper Hernani Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dito Bezerra. When Joélson Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talarem SS's protests and gave Joélson Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Joélson Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Talarem SS's zone, João Paulo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredão Moreno came out of the goal and João Paulo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wiliam Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Elias Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute João Paulo Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiliam Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Moreno having to interfere. Vitório Tavares hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Hernani Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Bezerra in the 88th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Dito Bezerra notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Caiuas SS's Hernani Amorim. Hernani Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dito Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernani Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Caiuas SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
