An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Alvarenga in the 3rd minute of play forced Cortado's goalkeeper Márcio Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olívio Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Márcio Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cortado getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Aírton Rezende hit a great ball. Quincos SC's Olívio Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cortado's Márcio Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Alvarenga in the 12th minute of play. Frederico Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Márcio Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olívio Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márcio Linares having to make a save. Iuri de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A hard shot by Thiago Ribeiro from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Eduardo do Nascimento's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 32 minutes, Olívio Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quincos SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olívio Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Cortado's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Alvarenga came free, but Márcio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Linares having to interfere. After the first half Quincos SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olívio Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cortado's Kléber Borges got a free kick in the 51st minute. 57 minutes into the game, Kléber Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cortado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quincos SC the free kick. In the 57th minute, Kléber Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cláudio Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Cortado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Leite to maneuver through the defense. Márcio Linares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cláudio Dante showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Borges in the 70th minute of play forced Quincos SC's goalkeeper Eduardo do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Cláudio Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Cortado's Alfredo Paraense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Quincos SC's Cláudio Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Quincos SC's Márcio Linares threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olívio Alvarenga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kléber Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo do Nascimento having to interfere. Quincos SC's Eduardo do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Paraense in the 96th minute of play.
