Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilberto Esteves kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Maurinho Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buriche fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 9th minute, Gilberto Esteves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Celsinho Moreno, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Diamantina getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jorginho Branco hit a great ball. Michel Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Moreno having to interfere. Gilberto Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Esteves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celsinho Moreno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Fonseca in the 23rd minute of play forced Diamantina's goalkeeper Nando Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Maurinho Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Franklin de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buriche's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Moreno having to interfere. Buriche's Celsinho Moreno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Buriche from getting a goal against them. If Franklin de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Buriche's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Esteves came free, but Celsinho Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Michel Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Diamantina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Fonseca to make the kick off. Nando Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Fonseca in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celsinho Moreno was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Diamantina's Gilberto Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurinho Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nando Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Buriche's Tiaguinho Linares tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Luís Eduardo Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamantina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buriche the free kick. Nando Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Buriche's Franklin de Almeida. But to his dismay, Franklin de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Jorginho Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Franklin de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Albuquerque having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Diamantina got a freekick which was hit by Franklin de Queirós. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin de Almeida got free with Nando Albuquerque in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilberto Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Moreno having to interfere. Although Diamantina had been in control for most of the match, Buriche still came away with the win.
