After 4 played minutes Taborda got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Dantas. In the 10th minute, Eriberto de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurício Xavier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elano Mota showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Manaquiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Peixoto in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldinho Britto saved Taborda from getting behind. Taborda's Ronaldinho Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Peixoto in the 20th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Renan Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taborda's Ronaldinho Britto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renan Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Britto having to interfere. Manaquiri FC's Cauan Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eriberto de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Maurício Xavier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elano Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elano Mota was the one to do the kick off. Renan Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Britto having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Renan Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Taborda's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Britto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Vale. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Peixoto in the 64th minute of play forced Taborda's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Britto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Taborda getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Davi Brito hit a great ball. The supporters of Taborda booed when Manaquiri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Manaquiri FC's Celsinho Vianna got a free kick in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Manaquiri FC's zone, Elano Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Xavier came out of the goal and Elano Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manaquiri FC's Maurício Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Mota in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Renan Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaquiri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cauan Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Xavier having to interfere. Manaquiri FC's Maurício Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Mota in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Celsinho Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cauan Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ronaldinho Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taborda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
