Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cujubim FC's Luiz Fernando de Queirós started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulysses de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Joélson Botelho came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cujubim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson Botelho couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Araticum's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Luz came free, but Yuri Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando de Queirós in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yuri Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araticum's goalkeeper Yuri Vidal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Fernando de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Yuri Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cujubim FC. Yuri Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Clemente Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araticum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Araticum's Clemente Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edmundo Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Araticum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Arantes couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Joélson Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match Américo Lucas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulysses de Carvalho skillfully saved the ball. Cujubim FC's Luiz Fernando de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Vidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Gilberto Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cujubim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Clemente Linares made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Linares in the 54th minute of play forced Cujubim FC's goalkeeper Ulysses de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Linares took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulysses de Carvalho. Ulysses de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 59th match minute, Araticum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Yuri Vidal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Magalhães in the 60th minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Edmundo Arantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cujubim FC's Ulysses de Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 played minutes Araticum got a freekick which was hit by Guga de Sena. In the 66th minute of the match, Luiz Fernando de Queirós tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yuri Vidal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Renatinho Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renatinho Trigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Renatinho Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Yuri Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Edmundo Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Clemente Linares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ulysses de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes in the game, Gilberto Luz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yuri Vidal having to interfere. If Luiz Fernando de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fernando de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Yuri Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Luz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 88th playminute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araticum fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cujubim FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
